COLLECTIONS
There are two main collections in the KING-N-ROOK production line. The KING collection is designed for men and come in three distinct product categories: Every Day, Limited Edition and One-Of-A-Kind. Every Day bow ties consist of fabrics that can be found in abundance throughout each season and are often paired with fabrics that are neutral and timeless. Limited Edition bow ties consist of limited production fabrics that can only be purchased in small quantities and are likely discontinued by fabric-makers. One-Of-A-Kind bow ties are, like their name says, only one of its kind produced to sell. Often they are made from vintage or recycled materials. They are for the bow tie collector who wants a conversation piece that no one else will be wearing.
The ROOK collection is designed for young and older boys, ranging in age from 5-12 years. These little gentleman pieces are a great investment for your “little man”. It’s never too early to teach a young man to dress with style for any occasion (i.e., graduation, weddings, bar mitzvahs, or picture day at school) or any day of the week.
SELF-TIE ONLY
All KING-N-ROOK bow ties are self-tie a.k.a. freestyle ties that must be manually tied. These ties have a natural charm, and although not as precisely asymmetric as other styles, it is their freestyle nature that allows you to be different. You can also rock freestyle ties untied (i.e.. the George Clooney way).
REVERSIBLE
All KING-N-ROOK bow ties are double-sided with a primary fabric and reverse fabric options. This style sets KING-N-ROOK a part from the rest. It’s like getting two bow ties for the price of one!
BOW TIE SHAPES
There are four main shapes of KING-N-ROOK bow ties.
- The most conventional style is the Butterfly (a.k.a. Islet), which is compatible with most face shapes. Butterfly ties are anything but stuffy. You don’t have to worry about looking like a clown!
- For men needing a slightly wider tie we can offer the Big Butterfly, which has the same shape but wider bow.
- The second style is the Diamond Tip (a.k.a. Pointed) tie, which has slight asymmetry. It has a unique look that still fits any dress code.
- The third and less formal style is the Jackson (a.k.a. Batwing, a.k.a. Straight). This tie flatters lean, oval and long face shapes and is still suitable for black tie affairs.
- The final shape is one created by KING-N-ROOK’s creator, Richard Joseph. It is called the KING cut tie. It is similar to the diamond tip style but with more “royal” curve. It is suitable for every day, but stands a part from the rest because both sides of the fabrics are seen together very prominently.
